Anna Grimshaw
Anna Grimshaw is an anthropologist and filmmaker. She has made a number of documentaries in northern England, including Mr. Wade (2003), and a video collaboration with the British artist, Elspeth Owen, Material Woman (2005). She is the author of The Ethnographer’s Eye: Ways of Seeing in Modern Anthropology (2001), and co-author (with Amanda Ravetz) of Observational Cinema: Anthropology, Film and the Exploration of Social Life (2009).
Prof. Grimshaw teaches at the Graduate Institute of the Liberal Arts, Emory University.
